Marvin Ridge Middle School is a well rounded band program that serves over 350 students and their families in Waxhaw, North Carolina. The band program includes 6th grade beginning band, 7th grade concert band, and 8th grade Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Winter Guard.

Winter Guard
The Winter Guard program is comprised of students from both
Marvin Ridge Middle School and High School. The winter guard meets in the
late Fall / early Spring and rehearses totally outside of the school
day. Membership is by audition only but you do not have to have prior
experience to audition. Members will learn technique and choreography in dance
and equipment, as well as an entire competitive program. This program
will be used to compete at competitions in North and South Carolina as part of
the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association.
